Donovan Beck – Little Hopes

Virtual Assembly – Kindness

Did you know, on average the Honeybee will visit approximately 150 flowers in a day?
Or, That the Hummingbird, who’s wings can beat at approximately 4,000 times per hour just to visit a single sunflower?
I think its amazing that in 1994 Stanford ran a study to see what would happen if you placed two violins in a room, & if a cord one violin was struck would the other sound the note?
The answer was yes.I call that the definition of hope.
Of finding the music in the things around us,
I know times are crazy but let’s sing from the balconies like the people in Italy.
Let’s make music with each other, let’s call it love, let’s call it peace, let’s call it kindness.
Let’s take the highness off their throne & remind them their human.
I know it sounds crazy, it will sound impossible, but I can tell you it’s true.
Like the music that plays in the background when someone says hello to you. Like the neighbor that you may not have talked to in years but this time when you find yourself on a walk with your dog after being cooped up inside of your room for days upon days they finally say hello, trust me that’s love.Listen to the music of the percussion inside of your heart, remind yourself what it means to dance even in the dark.
Trust me I know times can be crazy, but let’s share in the idea of being human. Like there are not many things that separate me and you besides the 6-meter distance between us two.
Trust me the world can be crazy, but so can you. Like did you know that your heart beats approximately 4,000 times per hour.
Just like the hummingbird.
So, go visit the sunflowers, go visit the music that is inside of your soul, go play the violin from you to the next, from your family member, to your friend, to your sister, to your aunt.
To the music that plays inside of you, make an orchestra out of love.
Trust me, its easier than it sounds. An orchestra is only made out of 30 people and you all have a lot more followers than that on Instagram, Twitter and TikTok so make the clock rock, share the music that comes from your soul, dance it from the balcony like the people in Italy.
Trust me, the times are crazy. But so are you, with all your beautiful imperfections, the resounding deductions of the flowers inside of your body.
Share them, be a garden.Let the Honeybee & the Hummingbird find you wherever you need them.
Let the little hopes of your violin orchestra & the percussion of your heart, sing to them.
Trust me, Times are crazy, but so are you.
So here is to the little hopes
Here’s to dancing on the balconies
Here’s to the neighbors & the hello’s that you’re waiting to hear.
Trust me, they will all be worth it.

Virtual Assembly – Kindness

i am troubled by the look in your eyes
is there a woman inside
have you found someone who needs you desdemona
there are feelings that we cannot describe
and words that do not define
what we’re dying to say will you find a way to finally face
what broke your heart wide open in the first place
the familiar weight that pulls you down
you must be tired of dragging all that pain around desdemona
always searching for the sunnier side
but when will you see the light that is shining underneath you desdemona
do you remember when we stayed up all night
and took off every disguise? when you trusted me we can find a way to help you face
what broke your heart wide open in the first place
you can lie to me or lay it out
you must be tired of dragging all that pain around when you find a way to finally face
what broke your heart wide open in the first place
you can cry to me, scream and shout
you must be so tired of it so tired
of hiding inside of your pain
my darling desdemona are you ok
i can feel the ache upon your life
you must be tired of living in it
